The 3 Most Valuable Coins

With tons of valuable coins in circulation around the world, finding them could potentially make you become a wealthy man or women. However, you’ll need to know just how to distinguish these coins first. There are literally thousands of them that people have gone through, not even knowing that some coins are over $500 or even more.

Most of the coins are varies of dies. Basically put, these are coins which has errors on them which resulted during the preparation of the coin. Many of the older coins are very valuable and almost “extinct”. Here are a couple of popular valuable coins from the United States.

1. Lincon Cent 1969 – This is called a 1969 Plus a 3x Obverse. It’s very difficult to find as earlier in the days, the Secret Service obtained these coins until US Mint producers came forth and proved that these were the real thing. To find this coin, just look for a clear double of the heads side. This penny is roughly worth $30,000 to $35,000.

2. 1970 Lincoln Cent (Small) with Double Dye
If you inspect this coin, one of the sides seem to be doubled in the variety of dye. These coins are worth $3,000 but if you notice that the other side is doubled too, it’s pretty much worth nothing. The place you need to search for the doubling is on the “Liberty” word of where it starts with the first three letters “Lib”. Also look in the statement “In God We Trust” for doubles too.

3. 1972 Lincoln Cent with Double Die (Not mint) Penny
Now this penny is easily recognizable from it’s bold doubling on almost anywhere. This is a coin that’s very easy to find but most people have trouble in seeing if it’s authentic or not. In order to do this, look at the word “United”. That’s the marker for it and most coin experts can do this for you with a die marker in order to find out if it’s caused from a die. This cent is worth $500 alone.
